The second cable connection between Estonia and Finland

EstLink 2 is the second high voltage direct current (HVDC) interconnection between Estonia and Finland, which will triple the transmission capacity between the Baltic and Nordic regions. In an open electricity market EstLink 1 and EstLink 2 capacity will be sufficient for its effective operation and energy can flow from Baltics to Nordics and vice versa without congestions.
